MAXINE HEPPNER : CREATIONS

Traviata Solo

Description of work

This jewel of a piece that resurrects La Traviata to relive her broken heart in a passionate dance that is both humourous and heart-breaking, was first  created for Laura Taler in the mid 1980's and was later the subject of a wonderful photo essay by photographer Cylla von Tiedemann.

"Traviata Solo" eventually was one of "Three Sisters", with "Frangelika" and "Attack of the small ones",  a trio who were the heart of Maxine's solo touring from 1991 onwards.
