MANGA from EDO to NOW

Find out about more about contemporary Manga cartooning: the current trends and where they came from  in the 20th century and back to the powerful 1600's in Edo (old Tokyo). Carol Dorman, expert in ukiyo-e at the Stuart Jackson Gallery in Yorkville, and Geoff Greig, of the YAMA Anime and Manga Association speak of Now and Then. Maxine Heppner and Takako Segawa will demonstrate how they created the movement for "my heart is a spoon" inspired by these artforms.

Baby Zoe joined our world a few months ago (Jess, Arthur and Zak's new little girl), Maxine is 2010 Artist-in-residence at UCDrama, Sue  is a Master, Andrew and Araz and Miguel are playing like mad, now Louis is wriiting great emails dancing with the Mannheim Ballet and Will be back in August, Takako is back in creation for a new work, Jiv premiered his play My Gaza  tis of thee Sept 16-23 at UC ...much more about many more but prefer face-to-face...want to meet for coffee?
